Mon Dieu!

I wish I had the funds to buy it because I've always wanted one of these, though I have concerns about how it is legally here.

This is the kind of car where you wake up one day and poof! it's gone.

Thanks, Obama.

Dear Obama,

Why doesn't the DREAM Act apply to cars? They're people too, you know. Just like your dog.

Sincerely,

Can Enthusiasts

I'm sure you'd be able to just "wow" you're way through CBP and the DMV with the crazy doors. Easy-Peasy

haha in my state they dont even check what it is half the time. With some imports they would go to the back, print a picture from google, ask me if that is what it looks like, and proceed to register it anyways

In Colorado, when getting a drivers license, they put whatever you tell them on it re: height, weight, eye color, etc. I know this because my dad is that obnoxious guy that always asks the wrong people the wrong questions and asked if he said he had pink hair and was 400lbs and 4'11" what would happen? The DMV lady said, "Sir I just write what you say."

Not the brightest at the DMV.

It's apparently not titled. Like... at all. Some BaT folks are proposing getting it to Canada where it'll be legal next year or registering in VT with a BoS, but either are sketchy.

If one is going to import a bizarre Matra project, one could always just bring in a Rancho and wait out the remaining decade on the Avantime.

Or hell, a 530,

or a Bagheera and actually build the nightmare U4 engine for it that was always planned. Go for broke.

I like last generation's innovation of the round-bottom drawn can. Call me a purist, but it's the best intermediate stage between a classic double-crimp and... making things too complicated, frankly.

While i can see where you come from, I think it's innovation, not complication. I do appreciate the older models, but I love the future! I don't mind the new materials and designs we are seeing today. esp as I mentioned the pull tab pop top! I just think this day in age its silly to have to relay on a hand crank or even a electric opener.

Matra 530 - gorgeous but how many compound curves can you fit on a car ahead of the front wheels?

Oh, definitely. But at the same time, what's a can, really? I mean, for us to call something a can, it really has to have higher capacity than a simple "tin", though I admit there's some regional differences there, and the lines were blurred a bit when pull-tab cans started to proliferate. I think a lot of it's in the task - you'd still call it a "soup can" with some small variations. Our conventions are a bit out-dated, because a can in plastic wasn't even considered when can, tin, etc. first entered common phrase. I mean, what, a "can" of gutta percha? Get out. It'll all be the same to the label-processing companies because they wrap it the same, but there probably ought to be a line between cans and seal-cups somewhere. Maybe defined on whether it's classic form-factor and has some kind of break-once seal? I'm just worried about what happens when the beverage people get in on the act, because we've already seen some fraying around the edges. Monster is selling some weird bottle/can hybrids that fail the seal test through having a cap- that worries me that what does and does not make a "can" is losing importance. It's almost like they don't care...

Start with enough to make a body man cry, then double it.
